The founder of TRON is Justin Sun. In Mandarin, Justin’s last name – Sun is pronounced as “Soon”. Justin’s Chinese name is Yu Chen, therefore his full name is Sun Yu Chen.
Justin graduated from Peking University which is one of the top Universities in China. He then obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After that, he got admitted to Hupan University and was the only Millennial student in the first batch of entrepreneurs that got accepted.
For those who are not familiar with Hupan University, the University was created by Jack Ma – the founder of Alibaba Corporation. From the beginning, Hupan University has always been very open about its selective nature for students. By admitting only 44 out of over 1000 applications in 2017, its acceptance rate of 4.07% was lower than that of Stanford undergraduate college which is about 5%.
Justin was also the former chief representative for Greater China of Ripple from 2014 – 2016. He also got featured in Asia Weekly Cover People on 2011, one of the Davos Global Shaper in 2014, CNTV new figure of the year in 2015, Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs in 2017, as well as being in the Forbes China 30 Under 30 list in 2015, and 2017. Justin was also featured in many TV shows and interviews in China because of the great achievements he had accomplished at a young age.
