Energy & Fee Calculator

The TRON Energy & Fee Calculator provides precise estimates for on-chain transaction costs. Convert TRX to Energy instantly, calculate fees for USDT transfers or contract calls, and identify the optimal staking amount to eliminate network costs.

How much Energy does your TRX generate? How much TRX do you need to cover a transaction?

Burn Path (Cost)

Stake Path (Yield)

The burn path shows the cost to acquire Energy immediately. The stake path shows the daily recurring Energy granted for as long as TRX remains staked.

Staking Break-Even Calculator

Staking yield is the live network-average and updates automatically. Staking APY (~4%) not included in calculation.

Burn TRX (no staking): The network charges 100 sun per Energy unit consumed. A USDT transfer requires a Basic Energy of ~14,650 (existing holder) or ~29,650 (new account). On top of this, a Dynamic Energy penalty may be applied to highly active contracts (like USDT) to manage network congestion. At the maximum penalty (up to an additional 340%), a transfer costs ~64,460 (existing holder) or ~130,460 Energy (new account).

Staked Energy: If you have sufficient Energy staked, the transaction consumes from your staked balance. Your staked Energy regenerates over ~24 hours. The effective cost is zero in TRX — the capital is locked but not spent.

Rented Energy: Third-party providers charge approximately 30–50 sun per Energy unit — significantly cheaper than burning. Useful for occasional users who prefer not to lock TRX for 14 days.
